Description: These mugs where wheel thrown and decorated using a method called ‘Sgraffito’, meaning to scratch, then carved to create a unique pattern. The design is my depiction of the Banksia blechnifolia – a shrub form of the plant which has fern like leaves. Sealed with Liquid Quartz™ sealer and glazed with Seafoam, a soft green blue glaze.
