Description: Abstract is inspired by native plants and features a combination of dove grey glaze and teal slip. Ideal as a bird bath or it can be separated as a vase and a bowl. The carved areas and the underneath of the base have been left unglazed and sealed with Liquid Quartz™ sealer. The inside of the bowl has been glazed with clear glaze for ease of cleaning. It does create a slightly darker appearance to the unglazed teal slip. The underside of the bowl also features unglazed slip decorating sealed with Liquid Quartz™ sealer.

The Natives collection is made from Australian clay and coloured slip. Each piece has been decorated using a technique called ‘Sgraffito’ – where a coloured layer of slip has been applied then a design scratched off to reveal the clay beneath. The remainder of the piece has then been carved or fluted and glazed with my signature dove grey which breaks to sepia where lightly applied. Any unglazed areas are sealed with Liquid Quartz™ sealer.

Delivery: Pieces will be packed within 1 – 7 business days after the exhibition concludes and delivered through Australia Post.
