Blue Mountains
Capturing the essence of the Blue Mountains in a dinner set for avid mountain climbers
A commission for an eight place dinner setting which included dinner plates, side plates and bowls. This collection was made with two colours of speckled stoneware. They were marbled using a technique called Neriage, where I mix two clays and throw on the wheel to form a marbled finish. They were then hand painted to create the ‘Blue Mountains’ landscape and finished with a speckled white glaze.
