A Collection of Contemporary Ceramics Inspired by Nature’s Forms and Our Surrounding Environment.
This exhibition brings together the works of Gippsland ceramic artists Malcolm Boyd, Wendy Reeve, and Cindy Tong. United by their connection to nature, each artist interprets the environment through their own lens.
Malcolm Boyd, with over 40 years of practice, expresses the wonder of nature, especially landscapes. His work involves the constant manipulation of clay, glazes, colour, and texture to bring his ideas to life, with the sharing of his experience being a central part of his lifelong journey and passion. Wendy Reeve, who has been working with clay for decades after earning a degree, translates objects found in nature into her work, capturing their textures and unique forms. Cindy Tong creates works inspired by the intricate patterns of nature, her diverse body of work explores the delicate details and hidden depths found in natural forms, ranging from foliage to geological structures
Together, this collection invites viewers to pause and reflect on the harmony between art and the natural world, offering a moment of discovery through contemporary ceramics. Artworks will be available for purchase.
