Description: This large serving bowl has been decorated using a technique called ‘Mishima’ where artwork has been drawn onto the clay with a needle then filled in with slip and scraped back to reveal the contrasting fine lines of the original drawing. Eucalyptus leaves feature on the inside and glazed with clear for ease of cleaning and for a softer scrape for utensils. The underside has also been decorated using the ‘Mishima’ technique but also features ‘Sgraffito’ where the slip is applied to the clay first then scraped off revealing the original colour of the clay beneath. A porcelain slip has been used. The last image shows the serving bowl on top of the Large Red Gum Vase in Eucalyptus Leaves.

The ‘Red Gum’ Collection is made from Australian clay and is a mix of Porcelain and Stoneware. Sealed with Liquid Quartz™ on unglazed surfaces.

Delivery: Pieces will be packed within 1 – 7 business days after the exhibition concludes and delivered through Australia Post.
