Looks: This wheel-thrown flared bowl is hand-painted half with indigo and the other with light sepia, a pinkish sand tone. The two glazes overlap creating a sky blue effect. Patches of thinly glazed areas reveal dark burnt sepia hues from the clay beneath.

Feels: This thick coat of gloss gives a smooth finish.

Seconds: Although a lovely feature, patches on the exterior where the glaze has shifted due to impurities on the surface make this hand-painted bowl a second.
